The Green Municipal Fund (GMF) provides funding to cover up to 80% of eligible costs to finance newbuild, energy-efficient facilities, such as police stations, recreation centres, and arenas, in the form of low-interest loans up to $5 million and grants up to 15% of the loan value.
The program is available to all Canadian municipal governments. Projects must include a combination of systems targeting net-zero energy performance, such as heating and cooling or onsite renewable energy generation.
